UMFF is always with you
Ulju Mountain Film Festival(UMFF) is the first international mountain film festival in South Korea, dedicated to present and promote films & culture dealing with mountains, adventure, exploration, nature, and the environment.
The 8th Ulju Mountain Film Festival will be held in Ulju, South Korea at October 2023.
International Competition
- Five categories, including grand prize, a total of 2,800,000 KRW worth of prize money and trophies.
Asian Competition
- NETPAC certificate, a prize gift worth 1,000,000 KRW
- The best Asian film selected by NETPAC Jury
- UMFF certificate, a prize gift worth 1,000,000 KRW
- The best Asian film selected by Youth Jury
¡Ø The films in the competitions are not limited to one award
¡Ø As for the award-winning films, the festival has been approved to screen them without a screening fee in screenings hosted by UMFF until the next festival.
¡Ø Some submitted films could be selected as non-competition films with the submitter¡¯s agreement.
¡Ø Finalists for Asian Competition will be selected among Asian films regardless of section.
Films related to alpinism, climbing, mountaineering, mountain sports & culture, adventure & exploration, nature & environment, ecology, etc.
Films produced by Asian director(s) or Asian country(s) and contains or be related to nature, human, environment, ethnography, etc.
¡Ø Films of every genre, and duration are eligible for submission.
¡Ø Films produced prior to the year 2021 will not be eligible for the competitions.(must be produced after 2021)
¡Ø Films in the non-English language must have English subtitles to submit.
¡Ø In the case of being selected, English subtitles or an English dialogue list is required in the case of English dialogue films as well.
