Natura Fugit. Constructed frame by frame from nearly 3,000 large-format drawings by artist Jesus Mari Lazkano. An animated short based on the painting by C. D. Friedrich, which depicts the Mer de Glace in the Alps, seized by the Nazis and disappeared. Standing on the glacier, we experience a time travel that dramatizes the progressive humanization of the mountains, as well as the indisputable reflection of climate change, global warming, and the disappearance of glaciers.
Natura Fugit deals with how a landscape transforms over time, a "geological tempo" that from our current perspective we cannot reach and that shows us the progressive degradation of which we are an active part and where our own behavior accelerates the already evident changes.
