Tales from the Magic Garden

Three kids spend the night at their grandpa’s house. To fill the silence after losing their grandma, the family’s storyteller, they begin to create their own stories and discover the power of imagination. This uplifting stop-motion film celebrates creativity and its healing magic. 

World premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival, selected for the Annecy competition, and a 2026 European Film Award nominee. The film renders the weighty themes of death and loss in exquisite stop-motion animation. Slovenian director Leon Vidmar helmed the episode of the flying old man, the most emotional and vibrantly colored of the anthology.
