SYNOPSIS
In alliance with nature, the craftswomen of the Jequitinhonha Valley transform stones and clay into ceramics that reflect the very essence of their birthplace. This ancestral knowledge, weaving together art, sustainability, and female autonomy, transforms the former "Valley of Misery" into a cultural granary—where poverty gives way to dignity and clay is shaped into the future.
NOTE
The film portrays the achievement of female autonomy through the work of producing handcrafted ceramics made with natural resources found in the land where these women live.

Guilherme Bacalhao
He has directed several documentaries on social issues, notably Roleiros(2003), Feliz Natal(2006), Ilha do Ferro(2024), and the fictional short film Terminal(2024). In 2024, he released Pacto da Viola, his first fictional feature film, which won nine awards at international and national film festivals.
