National Mountain Museum

Opened in 2012, the National Mountain Museum is a cultural complex established to showcase the mountaineering culture and spirit of the Korean people. It is located at 3054 Misiryeong-ro, Nohak-dong, Sokcho, Gangwon-do.

Its permanent exhibitions feature Korea¡¯s 100 representative mountains, popular trekking courses, the history of Korean mountaineering, safety guidelines, and the science of climbing.

The museum also offers interactive spaces, including an indoor rock-climbing wall and a high-altitude environment experience zone, allowing visitors to physically engage with mountain culture. Nestled against the scenic backdrop of Seoraksan, the museum provides not only rich exhibitions but also the opportunity to enjoy the surrounding natural landscape.
