PROGRAM

"Is it a failure if you don't reach the summit?"
In a society that values only success and results, the fear of failure often makes us forget the joy and growth that come from the process itself. This program creates a space to question the ¡®value of the process¡¯ for today's younger generation, who may hesitate to take on new challenges.
This special program begins with a screening of the film Far Enough, which documents a 22-year-old's 11,500km bicycle journey from France to Nepal. The film delivers a powerful message: True adventure lies not at the summit, but on the path to it.
After the film, a talk session hosted by Lee Da-hyun (Fair Play Master) will feature young mountaineers who are continuing their own challenges at this very moment. Bae Jae-hyun (YouTuber ¡®Chabak¡¯) and Lee Ho-sun of the Dong-A University Alpine Club, will share why experiences of failure and giving up can also be valuable assets. It will be a precious time to cheer on every challenge, regardless of the outcome.

¡á Date: Sep. 28 (Sun), 2025, 15:30 ~ 17:22 (A 30-minute talk will follow the screening)

Far Enough
France | 2025 | 29min | Color | Documentary
In 1996, Goran Kropp cycled from Sweden to Everest before climbing it entirely on his own. Twenty-eight years later, 22-year-old Jean Rouaux is picking up the torch in his own way. His goal: Ama Dablam, in the heart of Nepal. His starting point: Chamonix. 11,500 km by bike, 80,000 meters of elevation gain. A long journey marked by solitude, effort, and pushing personal limits. And what if the real adventure wasn¡¯t the summit¡¦ but the road to get there?
