SYNOPSIS

Rupa and Maya (11) are best friends in a village where class discrimination and patriarchy is still very much the norm. One belongs to a Brahmin (upper) caste while other a Dalit (untouchable) caste. Everyone else makes them feel that they are different from one another, but what matters to them is their unconditional love and friendship.

NOTE

Though Caste based discrimination and untouchability is punishable by law, and severely condemned, as of today discrimination and violent crimes very much exists across Nepal. Any relationship, whether it be friendship or love, should be allowed to blossom organically in its purest form, without caste, gender, class and oppressions of society determining the course it should take.
