End of Bardo

The man stands on the mudflat. On his way home, he realizes that he is dead. Lost in enduring solitude and confusion, he encounters a psychopomp. “Bardo” begins on the mudflat, passes through the city, and ends at the mountain ridge. This film follows the man’s story from the shore to the mountaintop, a long journey toward embracing one being’s death.

What awaits the dead? Where are you now, having left us without a word? Through the deep grief and uncertainty, we began this project to say our goodbyes. We sincerely hope that our film could be a small farewell to so many “You ”s.​​​
