Yeon-soo, who had previously passed by a dead magpie near the soundproof wall, notices two students, Go-eun and Sol, retrieving the bird and attaching collision-prevention stickers. Beyond the tightly enclosed walls of the buildings, in the forest, Yeon-soo, Go-eun, and Sol document the birds and softly call out their names.
Even now, millions of buildings and thousands of kilometers of transparent soundproof walls are becoming traps for birds. Yet, if we act and listen carefully, stitch by stitch, perhaps we can create a safe space for both humans and animals. I hope the names of birds coexisting Beyond the Wall will be called out.
