Writing Home

A small bark beetle girl lives a peaceful life in the forest, until a fire destroys her home. Getting separated from her family, she finds refuge in a human school, discovering a new talent, writing. 

I discovered Miss Holasová’s book after moving to Prague and was deeply moved by its story and art. Years later, it inspired my bachelor’s film about the power of education and overcoming life’s challenges.
